Riyadh Fashion Week 2025 offered a stunning showcase of homegrown Saudi talent, highlighting designers who merge cultural heritage with contemporary flair. Among the standout presentations, the Fall 2025 Couture collections explored personal stories, artistic vision, and modern design techniques.
One designer’s all-black collection stood out for its dramatic silhouettes and emotional depth. Inspired by personal loss and human emotion, the line featured flowing capes, hoods, and billowing gowns enhanced with crystals, lace, and textured fabrics. Accents of burgundy punctuated the otherwise monochrome palette, adding visual contrast to the somber tones. The collection reflected the designer’s belief that chaos and emotion can be transformed into wearable art.
Sisters Alia and Abeer Oraif presented their theatrical line, “A Ticket to the Theater,” celebrating the transformative magic of performance. Their collection featured bold A-line capes, poufy silhouettes, and intricate embellishments, with toned-down harlequin prints in tan-and-black and whimsical animated prints. A bright red ruffled cape served as a highlight, symbolizing self-love and confidence under the spotlight.
Abadia offered voluminous, layered silhouettes crafted from silk, velvet, and wool in warm shades of browns, creams, golds, and touches of burgundy. Creative head Shahd Al-Shehail drew inspiration from the legacy of Saudi pearl-diving communities, paying homage to women who maintained households while men were at sea. Al-Shehail cited her grandfather’s youthful ventures as a source of courage and resilience that influenced the collection.
Leem’s Fall 2025 line fused traditional Saudi garments with European couture references from the 1970s. The collection featured flowing bisht-style overlays, farwas, and ruffled chiffon separates suitable for business attire. Psychedelic color-melting techniques on leg-of-mutton sleeves were modernized with cleaner lines, reflecting the practical yet stylish identity of the contemporary Saudi woman.
Waad Aloqaili’s collection, “YAMAL,” highlighted the Kingdom’s nautical heritage through intricate hand-crafted embroidery and mother-of-pearl lamination. The collection’s standout gown featured delicate vertical strands of pearls and crystals that moved freely with the fabric, while accessories like gold earrings and a headpiece paid homage to traditional pearl-diving tools and Najdi cultural motifs.
Alazzouni, known for dressing international celebrities, presented her first runway show in Saudi Arabia. Drawing on the Gulf’s pearl-diving history, her collection used visual motifs inspired by fishing ropes, coral formations, and underwater swells. The cream, gold, black, and occasional blue palette kept the line refined yet evocative of the sea.
Mirai offered a streetwear-inspired Fall/Winter 2025 collection, “ALMOSTAGBAL,” blending Saudi and Japanese urban aesthetics. Cropped blazers, Nehru collars, and subtle triangular embroidery inspired by Najdi architecture gave the line a playful yet sophisticated edge. Moss greens, blacks, and crisp whites allowed design details to stand out, making it a refreshing take on contemporary Saudi street style.
HINDAMME paid tribute to Saudi Arabia’s Hejaz region through the “Hejaz” collection. Creative head Mohammed Khoja’s designs featured full-length monochrome dresses, silk shirts, knit cardigans, and bold scarlet and hot pink coats. Circular Arabic prints on tops echoed earlier design themes, creating a bridge between East and West in ready-to-wear luxury fashion.
Riyadh Fashion Week 2025 reaffirmed Saudi designers’ ability to merge heritage, personal storytelling, and global fashion sensibilities, offering collections that were at once culturally rooted and boldly modern.
