The Department of Human Resources of the Ras Al Khaimah Government has been awarded the prestigious SHRM STAR Gold Award under the category of Excellence in Equity, Inclusion, and Diversity.
The award, presented by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), was announced during the SHRM MENA Annual Conference at Madinat Jumeirah, Dubai. It is considered one of the highest recognitions in the HR field, honouring organisations that go beyond traditional practices by focusing on innovation, equity, and sustainable performance.
The RAK Human Resources Department earned the accolade for its initiatives in learning and development, youth empowerment, women’s advancement, and workforce diversity. These programmes are designed to create inclusive workplaces, enhance organisational growth, and promote sustainable human capital practices across government entities.
Shaikha Al Hebsi, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Human Resources, dedicated the award to the UAE’s leadership, saying it reflects the team’s strong commitment to building fair and innovative work environments. She also highlighted the department’s continued efforts to develop national talent and prepare future leaders through creative initiatives and strategic partnerships.
