The FIFA U-17 World Cup Qatar 2025 is bringing thousands of fans to the Fan Zone, a lively area filled with cultural, entertainment, and community activities. Located inside the competition complex in Aspire Zone, the Fan Zone has become one of the most popular places for visitors during the tournament. With the largest edition of the U-17 World Cup featuring 104 matches, fans are gathering in big numbers to enjoy both football and the wide range of activities surrounding it.
The Fan Zone is attracting tens of thousands of visitors each day. Families, children, and football lovers come to enjoy the exciting atmosphere and take part in different activities. This year’s U-17 World Cup is the biggest ever, with 48 teams competing, and the excitement has spread far beyond the stadiums. The Fan Zone offers a way for fans to be part of the event even when they are not watching a match live.
As part of a major community initiative, the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) has partnered with more than 20 local companies. These companies were given free spaces in the Fan Zone to showcase their products and services. This effort helps small and medium businesses connect with the public and gain more exposure. It also reflects Qatar’s commitment to supporting the community and engaging local talent during major international events.
Hassan Al Kuwari, Executive Director of Marketing, Promotion, and Commercial at the LOC, explained that the tournament is not only about football matches. He said the U-17 World Cup serves as a global platform to celebrate different talents within the community. He added that the Fan Zone showcases the beauty of Qatari culture as well as the cultures of the many residents living in Qatar. Visitors can enjoy local restaurants, cultural displays, and artistic performances by students and artists.
Qatar Foundation (QF) is playing an important role in the Fan Zone by displaying the talents of its students. QF is offering interactive workshops, cultural shows, and special spaces for children with sensory needs. Its mobile sensory assistance room and quiet area include advanced technology and specialist supervision, making it easier for children with autism or sensory processing challenges to enjoy the event comfortably. These efforts reflect the commitment to making the tournament inclusive for everyone.
Haia Al Naimi, Manager of Initiatives, Events, and Community Partnerships at QF, said that community participation in the Fan Zone aims to create equal opportunities for all. She explained that QF’s student community includes children with different abilities, each following their own journey of growth. The Fan Zone gives these children a chance to shine and helps families feel confident that every child can participate equally in fun, learning, and creative expression.
For the first time, the Fan Zone is also offering sports activities organized by local companies. Fans can take part in fitness sessions and enjoy playing on a small football pitch. This pitch is used for a U-12 community tournament, designed to mirror the excitement of the U-17 World Cup. The Fan Zone also features a large number of performers and artists. Around 880 participants are presenting cultural and folkloric shows, adding to the lively atmosphere and giving visitors a rich cultural experience.
This year’s FIFA U-17 World Cup is historic because it is the first time 48 teams are taking part. It is also the first of five consecutive editions that Qatar will host until 2029. This long-term hosting plan highlights Qatar’s strong commitment to organizing world-class sporting events and building a strong future for international football competitions in the country.
The Fan Zone at the FIFA U-17 World Cup Qatar 2025 has become a true celebration of football, culture, and community. From cultural shows and inclusive programs to sports activities and local business showcases, the Fan Zone offers something for everyone. As the tournament continues, the area will remain a central hub of excitement, unity, and shared joy for fans from all over the world.
