Pushpa 2: The Rule' Box Office Day 9: Allu Arjun's Arrest Doesn't Affect Film's Success, Crosses Rs 760 Cr in India

Pushpa 2: The Rule, a movie directed by Sukumar and starring Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil, has done very well at the box office. In just nine days, the movie earned about ₹762.1 crore in India, according to Sacnilk.com.

The movie started strong. In its first week, it earned ₹725.8 crore. This includes ₹10.65 crore from the movie’s premiere and ₹164.25 crore on its first day. On the first Friday, the movie made ₹93.8 crore, but then its earnings went up again. On Saturday, the movie earned ₹119.25 crore, and on Sunday, it made ₹141.05 crore. In the next few days, it continued doing well, earning ₹64.45 crore, ₹51.55 crore, ₹43.35 crore, and ₹37.45 crore.

Now, Pushpa 2 is getting closer to beating RRR, another popular movie. I made ₹782.2 crores during its 10 weeks at the Indian box office. Pushpa 2 is also doing well around the world. It became the fastest Indian movie to make ₹1,000 crore and is now aiming to earn ₹1,100 crore. It is one of the top Indian movies of 2024. It is one of only two movies this year to have earned ₹1,000 crore, the other being Kalki 2898 AD, which stars Prabhas and Deepika Padukone. Another big hit this year is Stree 2, which earned ₹874.58 crore in India.

Tragic Incident During the Premiere

Sadly, the movie's premiere was marred by a tragic event. There was a stampede at the Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad, which resulted in the death of one fan and left her son seriously injured. After this, Allu Arjun was arrested for not informing the police about the big crowd at the theatre. However, later on, a letter was leaked showing that the theatre’s management had informed the police about the crowd and asked for more security.

After the arrest, Allu Arjun was placed in jail for 14 days, but the Telangana High Court gave him bail for four weeks. Many well-known celebrities, such as Varun Dhawan, Nani, and Rashmika Mandanna, supported Allu Arjun and spoke out in his favor.

Despite this arrest, Pushpa 2 continued to perform well at the box office. The movie is still very popular with audiences all over India and is breaking records every day. Its success is not slowing down.
