Priyanka Chopra and Zac Efron Reunite for New Comedy Film

Popular actress Priyanka Chopra is all set to work again with her Baywatch co-star Zac Efron in a new comedy movie. The film will be directed by Nicholas Stoller, who also wrote the script. The name of the film has not been announced yet.

Priyanka shared her excitement by posting a picture of the news on her Instagram story. She is not the only big name in the movie — actor Michael Peña, known for his role in Cesar Chavez, has also joined the cast.

The movie is being made by Amazon MGM Studios, the same company that worked with Nicholas Stoller on his earlier movie You're Cordially Invited, which featured Will Ferrell and Reese Witherspoon in lead roles.

Along with Priyanka, the cast will also include Regina Hall, Jimmy Tatro, and Billy Eichner.

The film was earlier called Judgment Day. It tells the story of a young man, played by Zac Efron, who has just been released from prison. He becomes so angry about a past court decision that he storms into a live courtroom TV show and takes it hostage. He believes that the judge, played by Will Ferrell, gave a decision that ruined his life.

For now, not many details about the movie have been shared.

Meanwhile, Priyanka Chopra is working on two other movies with Amazon MGM Studios. One of them is The Bluff, directed by Frank E. Flowers. The other is Heads of State, which also stars famous wrestler-turned-actor John Cena.

Recently, Priyanka was seen in the action-packed series Citadel, alongside actor Richard Madden. However, fans will have to wait longer for Season 2 of the show. The second season has been delayed until spring 2026 because the production team is not happy with how it’s turning out. Also, all other Citadel spin-off shows are currently on hold.

There is no official release date yet for when Citadel will return.

Besides all this, Priyanka is also in talks to join a new film directed by famous Indian director S.S. Rajamouli. The film will feature South Indian superstar Mahesh Babu in the lead role.
