Tadej Pogačar, a rider from UAE Team Emirates-XRG, won the famous bike race Tour of Flanders on Sunday. He finished the race alone, riding hard to the finish line in a town called Oudenaarde. This is the second time he has won this race.

The Tour of Flanders, also called De Ronde, is one of the toughest one-day races in cycling. It first started in the year 1913. This year’s race was very long — 268.9 kilometers (167 miles). The road had 16 short but very hard hills and many rough, stone roads.
Pogačar kept trying to break away from other riders during the race. Only Mads Pedersen from team Lidl-Trek and last year’s winner, Mathieu van der Poel from team Alpecin-Deceuninck, could stay close to him.
But on the last and hardest hill called Oude Kwaremont, Pogačar rode faster than everyone else. He left the other riders behind and rode alone to the end.
Some other strong riders — Jasper Stuyven, Wout van Aert, Pedersen, and Van der Poel — tried to catch him. But Pogačar was too fast. He kept pushing hard in the last 10 kilometers and made a bigger gap.
In the end, the riders behind him gave up on catching him. They raced each other for second place. Mads Pedersen came second, and Van der Poel came third.
This is Pogačar’s second win in this race — he also won last year. Now he has eight Monument wins (these are big, famous races in cycling). It is also the 24th win of the year for his team, UAE Team Emirates-XRG.
