Dubai has set a new benchmark in airline hospitality as Emirates officially opened its state-of-the-art Centre of Hospitality Excellence, a USD 8 million facility designed to train its cabin crew in world-class service and luxury dining experiences. The sprawling centre, aimed at nearly 25,000 crew members, combines cutting-edge classrooms, presentation kitchens, and an immersive restaurant and lounge accommodating 170 guests.

A New Era of Cabin Crew Training

The centre is not just about training; it’s about experiencing excellence first-hand. Cabin crew can dine as guests, enjoying gourmet 4-course meals curated by Emirates’ master chefs, designed to replicate the airline’s First and Business Class offerings. Every detail, from plating to service, reflects Michelin-star standards, ensuring crew members internalize the very essence of luxury hospitality.

The facility includes 8 technology-enabled classrooms, interactive presentation kitchens, and a dedicated culinary hub where crew learn plating, presentation, and the art of pairing flavours. The training blends professional restaurant techniques with airline-specific service practices, helping crew craft memorable, high-end experiences in the sky.

Fine Dining and the Art of Service

Beyond the culinary side, Emirates emphasises refined service and guest engagement. The “Art of Service” program teaches crew to anticipate needs, respond intuitively, and communicate with poise and emotional intelligence. Training goes beyond routine steps, transforming dining into a dialogue between host and guest.

The centre also hosts L’art du Vin, a specialised wine education programme that immerses crew in wine heritage, food pairings, and tasting experiences, scaled from introductory to First Class levels.

Ongoing Learning and Career Development

The Emirates Centre of Hospitality Excellence complements other training initiatives, including the Crew Zone at Emirates Group Headquarters. From onboarding to advanced skills, cabin crew undergo continuous learning throughout their careers. The comprehensive eight-week training covers safety, security, image standards, and in-depth service excellence, with practical sessions in full-motion aircraft simulators.

Currently, Emirates employs almost 25,000 cabin crew from over 140 countries, speaking more than 70 languages. The new centre ensures that these teams continue to deliver the airline’s signature hospitality pillars: excellence, attentiveness, innovation, and passion.
