Abu Dhabi’s Zayed National Museum Set for Grand December Opening

Abu Dhabi is set to welcome a new cultural icon as the Zayed National Museum prepares for its official opening this December in Saadiyat Cultural District. Crown Prince His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan recently reviewed progress at the museum, emphasizing its role in celebrating the UAE’s heritage and the enduring legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

The museum promises a rich journey through the UAE’s history with six permanent galleries across two floors, spanning 300,000 years of human civilization. Visitors will explore archaeological artefacts, historic objects, and exhibits that trace the earliest human settlements in the region, as well as the evolution of Emirati culture and its global connections through trade and intercultural dialogue.

In addition to permanent galleries, the museum features a temporary exhibition space and Al Masar Garden, a striking 600-metre-long outdoor gallery, designed to connect visitors with the UAE’s natural and cultural landscape.
