Music composer Palash Muchhal is all set to marry India’s World Cup-winning cricketer Smriti Mandhana later this week. Ahead of their big day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi sent the couple a heartfelt letter wishing them a lifetime of happiness and writing, “May both teams win in the game of life.”
Palash and Smriti have been in a relationship for several years and have shared a strong bond, both personally and publicly. Their wedding is scheduled for 23rd November 2025, and fans have been eagerly awaiting the celebrations.
In his congratulatory letter, Prime Minister Modi expressed delight at the couple’s upcoming wedding and the inclusion of a cricket match as part of the festivities. He wrote, “It is delightful to learn about the wedding of Smriti and Palash to be held on 23rd November 2025. Heartiest congratulations and greetings to the Mandhana and Muchhal families on this auspicious and joyous occasion.”
He added his wishes for their shared future, saying, “Walking hand in hand through every season of life, may the couple find strength in each other’s presence. May their hearts, minds, and souls be in harmony. May their dreams intertwine and grow together, guiding them toward a future filled with happiness and understanding.”
The Prime Minister also compared their talents poetically, writing, “May Smriti and Palash build a shared life rooted in trust, always stand by each other, embrace responsibilities with love, and grow together through each other’s strengths and imperfections. As they start a new life together, the grace of Smriti’s cricket cover drive meets the musical symphony of Palash in a beautiful partnership.”
He added a light-hearted note about the wedding festivities, saying, “It is fitting that a Celebration Cricket Match has been scheduled between Team Groom and Team Bride! May both these teams win in the game of life. I send my blessings to the couple for this momentous occasion.”
Smriti had earlier announced her engagement to Palash through a creative Instagram video featuring her India teammates Jemimah Rodrigues, Shreyanka Patil, Radha Yadav, and Arundhati Reddy. The five performed a choreographed routine to the song Samjho Ho Hi Gaya from the 2006 film Lage Raho Munna Bhai, and in the final frame, Smriti revealed her engagement ring, ending all speculation about her wedding.
Palash, who hails from Indore, had also confirmed the wedding earlier during an event at the State Press Club. He said, “She will soon become the daughter-in-law of Indore… that’s all I want to say. I've given you the headline.”
The couple is now ready to tie the knot on 23rd November 2025, with celebrations expected to be filled with music, cricket, and family joy.
