Nvidia Corp. Chief Executive Officer Jensen Huang addressed concerns about the company's new Blackwell chips during an interview on Bloomberg Television, assuring that supply will be ample once manufacturing scales up. Huang stated, "We're going to have lots and lots of supply, and we will be able to ramp," emphasizing that the company has already begun sending out samples globally and has started volume production of the Blackwell chip.
The Blackwell chip, unveiled earlier this year, is highly anticipated as it is set to succeed Nvidia's Hopper line of AI accelerators. This new generation of chips is crucial for Nvidia's growth, having significantly boosted its revenue and stock price. However, there have been concerns about potential delays due to production challenges.
Earlier in the year, Nvidia revealed that it had to revamp part of its manufacturing process to facilitate the production of the Blackwell chip. Despite these adjustments, the company is optimistic about generating substantial revenue from Blackwell in the fiscal fourth quarter, which ends in January.

During Nvidia’s quarterly earnings call on Wednesday, Huang faced scrutiny from analysts who inquired about Blackwell's revenue potential. Although Huang did not provide extensive details, he remained confident about the chip's performance. Nvidia’s stock experienced a decline of more than 7% in late trading, influenced by the uncertainty surrounding Blackwell's production and revenue prospects, despite strong overall results and forecasts that exceeded analysts’ expectations.
Huang reiterated that he had been clear about Blackwell's capabilities, stating, "Functionality of Blackwell is wonderful." He also expressed confidence in the chip's performance beyond the current fiscal quarter, predicting a robust year ahead for Nvidia.
In summary, while the Blackwell chip's availability has been a critical focus for investors and analysts, Nvidia remains committed to ensuring a steady supply and is optimistic about the chip's impact on its financial outlook for the upcoming year.
