Multiply Group Acquires Majority Stake in ISEM Packaging

Abu Dhabi-based investment powerhouse Multiply Group has announced a major move into the packaging industry with its acquisition of a majority stake in ISEM, a leading European packaging group. The deal positions Multiply Group to hold 60.8% of ISEM, while Peninsula Capital and other minority investors retain 39.2%.

The acquisition marks a strategic partnership that combines Multiply’s global platform-building expertise with Peninsula Capital’s strong sector knowledge and Southern European presence. Together, the partners aim to strengthen ISEM’s leadership and accelerate its worldwide expansion while preserving its long-standing reputation for craftsmanship, design excellence, and client trust.

Founded in 1949 and headquartered in Bologna, Italy, ISEM is globally recognized for its high-quality packaging solutions. The company operates 11 manufacturing plants across more than 100,000 m², producing rigid boxes, folding cases, silk paper, and dust bags. Its prestigious client base includes LVMH, Gucci, Kiko, L’Oréal, Puig, and Coty Lancaster, reinforcing the company’s ‘Made in Italy’ brand appeal.

ISEM has delivered remarkable growth in recent years, with revenues tripling and EBITDA quadrupling between 2021 and 2024. The acquisition by Multiply Group marks the company’s fifth consumer-focused vertical, complementing its existing beauty and apparel businesses and expanding its footprint in luxury-focused sectors.
