MakeMyTrip CEO, Genpact CHRO seal Gurugram luxury apartment deals

MakeMyTrip Group CEO, Rajesh Magow, recently acquired a lavish 6,428 square feet apartment in Gurugram's DLF Magnolias for a staggering Rs 33 crore. Simultaneously, Genpact's Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), Piyush Mehta, secured a 6,462 sq ft flat in the same property for Rs 32.60 crore. These lucrative real estate transactions, documented by CRE Matrix, a real estate data analytics firm, transpired in October 2023.

The opulent DLF Magnolias, nestled in DLF Golf Links, DLF Phase 5, Gurugram, epitomizes high-end luxury condominium living. Both apartments boast three parking spaces, according to the associated documents. The sale deeds reveal that Magow paid a substantial stamp duty of Rs 1.98 crore, while Mehta incurred Rs 1.95 crore in stamp duty.

Delhi-NCR, encompassing Gurugram, has recently witnessed a surge in high-end property transactions, with these acquisitions being the latest additions. Notably, in October 2023, an 11,000 sq ft apartment at The Camellias by DLF on Gurgaon's Golf Course Road exchanged hands for over Rs 100 crore in a resale.

The trend extends beyond Gurugram, as evidenced by Vasudha Rohatgi, wife of former Attorney General of India Mukul Rohatgi, purchasing a 2,100 square yard bungalow in Delhi's Golf Links for Rs 160 crore in March. Additionally, in May, Lenskart co-founder Peyush Bansal invested Rs 18 crore in a house in Neeti Bagh. Meanwhile, in August 2023, Renu Khuller, Director of Global Dent Aids, acquired a lavish bungalow spanning 873 square yards in Delhi's upscale Nizamuddin East for Rs 61.70 crore.

As urban landscapes witness these remarkable real estate transactions, they not only reflect the financial prowess of prominent personalities but also contribute to the evolving narrative of luxury living in the region.
