Election Results 2024: Counting Underway for Lok Sabha Polls to Decide Fate of Key Leaders

New Delhi: The counting of votes for the Lok Sabha elections 2024 is currently underway, determining the electoral fate of several key leaders across the political spectrum. The elections, held in seven phases from April 19 to June 1, spanned all 543 Lok Sabha seats.

The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is aiming for a significant win with a target of 400 seats. On the other hand, the Opposition INDIA bloc is confident of securing around 295 seats.

Several high-profile leaders are in the fray. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh are among the senior BJP figures contesting the elections. Key opposition leaders include former Congress chief Rahul Gandhi, Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav, and AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi.
