Katy Perry Cries Onstage After Orlando Bloom Split

Katy Perry had an emotional moment on stage during her final show in Australia. This was her first performance since the news came out about her breakup with actor Orlando Bloom. They were together for nine years.

During the show on Monday at Adelaide Entertainment Centre, Katy looked very emotional before singing her famous song, Firework. The 40-year-old singer made a heart gesture with her hands and started tearing up. Many fans recorded this moment and shared it on social media.

In the video, Katy is seen holding up her hands in a heart shape and saying, “Thank you for always being there for me, Australia.” She then added, “It means the world,” before starting to sing Firework.

Their breakup was confirmed by PEOPLE magazine on June 26. Katy and Orlando got engaged in 2019 and have a 4½-year-old daughter named Daisy Dove. Just days before Katy’s show, Orlando, who is 48 years old, attended Jeff Bezos' wedding to Lauren Sánchez alone in Venice.

While Katy was performing in Australia, Orlando shared some motivational quotes on his Instagram Stories. One of the quotes said, “Each day is a new beginning. What we do today is what matters most.” Another quote he shared said, “The important thing is to take that first step. Bravely overcoming one small fear gives you the courage to take on the next.”

Fans supported Katy for staying strong during her hard times. One fan remembered how Katy also went through a breakup with her ex-husband, Russell Brand, while she was on tour in 2011. The fan wrote, “It’s sad that her partners break up with her during her tours.”

Another fan wrote, “If I had a nickel every time Katy Perry went through a breakup during a tour, I’d have two nickels. That’s not a lot, but it’s weird that it happened twice.”

Katy was married to Russell Brand for one year before they divorced. She started dating Orlando in 2016. After a brief breakup, they got engaged in 2019 and had their daughter in August 2020.
