The popular K-pop girl group remains on hiatus amid a continuing legal dispute with their management label. The conflict has attracted widespread attention in South Korea, where entertainment companies traditionally hold significant control over their artists.

Earlier in the day, the label announced that two members — Haerin and Hyein — are preparing to return to the K-pop scene. However, it said it could not yet confirm whether the remaining three members will also take part in upcoming activities.

“We are checking whether the three members intend to return,” the agency said in an emailed statement.

The legal dispute began earlier this year when the group filed a lawsuit against the label, alleging mistreatment and seeking to terminate their contracts. In March, a South Korean court issued an injunction preventing the group from pursuing independent projects while the case continues.

The court’s ruling allowed the label to maintain full management authority over the group and prohibited the five members from engaging in any commercial or promotional activities without the company’s consent.

As the legal proceedings continue, fans remain uncertain about the group’s future and whether all members will eventually reunite under the same agency.
