Illinois Soccer Field Swallowed by Terrifying Sinkhole in Seconds, Video Shows

A dramatic sinkhole incident at Gordon Moore Park in Alton, Illinois, captured on surveillance footage, has led to the closure of the affected area for safety assessments. The massive sinkhole, approximately 100 feet wide, unexpectedly swallowed a section of the soccer field, leaving local officials and residents astonished.

The mine, known for its narrow ceiling of 40-50 feet, has raised concerns about additional potential collapses.
