This decision comes with the issuance of Executive Council Resolution No. (102) of 2024. The Resolution states that Ahmed Al Muhairi will now take on the role of Assistant Director General, which is an important position within Dubai’s Protocol and Hospitality Department. This department plays a key role in organizing and managing official events, meetings, and various ceremonies for the Dubai government, particularly for the Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai.
The appointment is effective immediately from the date of the resolution's issuance. This means that as of now, Ahmed Al Muhairi is officially in his new position, where he will be responsible for helping with the diplomatic and ceremonial duties of the Second Deputy Ruler, ensuring that all protocol and hospitality arrangements are carried out smoothly.
The decision has been published in the Official Gazette, which is the official publication used to share legal notices and important government announcements in Dubai. This ensures that the public is informed about the appointment, and it also adds to the transparency of the Dubai government’s actions.
Sheikh Hamdan's move to appoint Ahmed Al Muhairi is seen as a step to ensure that the city of Dubai continues to grow and develop under the guidance of capable leaders who can handle important tasks related to government protocol and hospitality. This is also an example of the UAE’s continuous efforts to develop its leadership and governance to keep pace with Dubai’s rapid growth.
