His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defence, has been officially invited by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to visit India in April this year. The invitation was delivered by India's Minister of External Affairs, Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, during a meeting with Sheikh Hamdan today.
He warmly welcomed Dr. Jaishankar, and commended on the deep and long-standing friendship of the UAE with India. He stated that ties between the two nations are strong in various fields like business, culture, society, and development. He also praised the efforts of UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to bolster these ties.
The two discussed ways in which their relationship can be even more strengthened during the meeting. They focused on major areas important to the future growth of both nations. Trade and investment was one of the top topics that dominated the discussion. They discussed how they can make use of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) in order to enhance trade and bring about more business opportunities between the two countries.

The meeting was attended by several top officials from the UAE, including Minister of Cabinet Affairs Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of State for International Cooperation Reem bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy, and Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications Omar bin Sultan Al Olama.
The visit, when it happens, will further cement the UAE-India partnership, with new opportunities in various fields of cooperation.
