Hamdan bin Mohammed Attends Dubai Assembly for AI During AI Week 2025

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of the Dubai Future Foundation, emphasized the importance of artificial intelligence (AI) and how it has become an essential part of many industries. He explained that, thanks to the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, Dubai was one of the first places to recognize the potential of AI. Today, Dubai is known as a global hub where AI experts, innovators, and developers come together.

His Highness made these comments during his visit to the ‘Dubai Assembly for AI’, which is part of Dubai AI Week 2025. The assembly, which runs from April 21 to April 25, 2025, brings together industry leaders, government officials, and representatives from top tech companies to discuss the future of AI.

Sheikh Hamdan said, "We are in the age of artificial intelligence, and the best way to make the most of its benefits is through global collaboration. Dubai is proud to welcome AI experts from all over the world to explore new ways to use this technology, boost growth, and improve the quality of life."

During the event, His Highness toured the assembly and saw new AI technologies from global companies like Meta and Teslasuit. He also saw innovative ideas and projects from 60 startups from different countries around the world.

The Dubai Assembly for AI was attended by several important figures, including His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, His Excellency Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Vice Chairman of the Dubai Future Foundation, His Excellency Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications, and many other senior officials.

This event featured participation from several country delegations, such as South Korea, Canada, India, Australia, Germany, Italy, and the United States. There were also global companies, government entities, and startups presenting their AI solutions. Universities and research institutions were also involved, contributing to the discussions and sessions.

The first day of the ‘Dubai Assembly for AI’ included over 50 sessions, workshops, and activations led by top AI companies. These discussions focused on various topics, such as the experiences of countries that have invested in AI-driven entrepreneurship, the exciting opportunities AI offers for youth and women, and how AI can help preserve and promote cultural heritage, particularly in Arabic-speaking communities.

Dubai AI Week 2025 aims to showcase Dubai's vision for the future of AI. It focuses on the incredible potential AI has to transform industries and improve lives, and it encourages organizations and individuals to explore how AI can be applied across different sectors.
