Green Laser Flashed at Dubai Flight Landing in Chennai

Post by : Layla Badr

A serious incident happened at Chennai Airport on Sunday night. A green laser light was pointed at an airplane that was about to land. The plane was coming from Dubai and had 326 passengers on board.

As the flight got closer to the runway, someone flashed a green laser beam directly at the cockpit. This sudden light made it hard for the pilots to see clearly. It became difficult for them to control the plane properly at such a critical moment.

The laser seemed to come from an area close to the airport. The pilots quickly informed the Air Traffic Control (ATC) about the dangerous light. Even though the situation was risky, the pilots stayed calm and managed to land the plane safely. Thankfully, all passengers were unharmed.

Soon after the incident, the police in Guindy and St. Thomas Mount were alerted. A full investigation has now begun to find out who was responsible for flashing the laser.

Using a laser near an airport is very dangerous. It can disturb pilots and even cause accidents. Authorities are taking this case seriously and are trying to make sure it doesn’t happen again.
