Karla Sofía Gascón's Powerful Speech Karla Sofía Gascon made history as the first transgender woman nominated as a lead actress at the Golden Globes. After "Emilia Pérez" won Best Motion Picture in the Musical or Comedy category, Gascón gave an emotional speech. She encouraged people to be true to themselves and said, "You can maybe put us in jail, you can beat us up, but you never can take away our soul, our existence, our identity."

Adrien Brody Thanks His Parents Adrien Brody won Best Male Actor in a Drama for his role in The Brutalist. In his speech, he thanked his father, calling him the foundation of his family. He also spoke about the immigrant experience, as his family fled Hungary in 1956.

Fernanda Torres Dedicates Award to Her Mother Fernanda Torres won Best Female Actor in a Drama for her role in I’m Still Here.
