Global Village Opens Season 30 with Dazzling Celebration

Dubai’s Global Village opened its much-awaited 30th Season on Wednesday, transforming the destination into a spectacular celebration of colour, culture, and creativity. Welcoming guests to “A More Wonderful World”, the evening was filled with excitement, music, and breathtaking visuals that captured the spirit of three decades of Global Village magic.

From the moment the gates opened, energy swept through every corner. The Retumbar street drummers set the rhythm as representatives from all 30 pavilions marched in the Parade of the World, greeting guests with vibrant flags and dazzling costumes. Confetti and streamers rained from above, painting the night sky in celebration of the milestone season.

The grand opening moment arrived as the sky burst to life — hundreds of drones formed a glowing “30” before spelling out “A More Wonderful World”. The display drew cheers from the crowd as wing-suited skydivers dove through the illuminated formation, leaving trails of fire and light in the air — a thrilling nod to the destination’s adventurous spirit.

Guests were treated to nonstop entertainment across the park, with cultural dances, stage performances, and new shows adding to the festive atmosphere. Highlights included the dazzling new laser show at Dragon Lake and a light spectacle at the Main Stage that lit up the night with vivid brilliance.

At 9 PM, the skies once again turned into a canvas of wonder as 600 drones created mesmerizing patterns, welcoming visitors to discover the season’s new attractions. The night ended with Global Village’s signature fireworks, a fitting finale to an unforgettable opening.

This season promises more than ever before — 30 pavilions representing countries from around the world, 3,500 shopping outlets, 250 dining options, and over 200 rides, games, and attractions. Guests can also look forward to more than 40,000 live shows throughout the season, along with weekly fireworks every Friday and Saturday at 9 PM.
