8th Senior Citizens Forum in Abu Dhabi, 1 Oct 2025

Abu Dhabi will host the 8th Forum for Senior Citizens on 1 October 2025 at the Abu Dhabi Energy Centre, under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak. The event is organised by the Family Development Foundation to coincide with the International Day of Older Persons.

The forum will feature dialogue sessions and launch initiatives aimed at enhancing seniors’ well-being. Discussions will focus on empowering the elderly by addressing health, psychological, social, and technical challenges, including bridging the digital gap that affects their inclusion in modern society.

Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, known as the Mother of the Nation, is Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation. The forum reflects her longstanding commitment to supporting family and senior development in the UAE.

The Family Development Foundation emphasised that the event will serve as a platform for policymakers, social workers, and healthcare professionals to exchange ideas and develop initiatives that improve quality of life for senior citizens.

Officials also noted that the forum will highlight the latest programs designed to promote active ageing and inclusion, encouraging seniors to participate fully in social and digital life.

Registration for participants is open, and the forum is expected to attract senior representatives, healthcare experts, and community leaders from across the UAE.
