Emirates and flydubai have reached a big milestone by carrying more than 5 million passengers together in just one year. This shows how strong their partnership has become. This number is also 36% higher than the number of joint passengers they carried last year, which proves that more and more people are choosing to fly with them.
This success is the result of more than seven years of working closely together. Their goal has always been to make travel easier and to help connect more people to Dubai. Their partnership also supports Dubai’s D33 plan, which aims to make Dubai a major global business and travel hub by adding 400 new destinations for trade and tourism.

His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, who is the Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Group and also the Chairman of flydubai, said:“The partnership between Emirates and flydubai has changed the game for both airlines. Working together has made it easier for people to travel and has improved the flying experience. I’m very proud of what we have achieved so far. I look forward to seeing even more success as we help Dubai become even better connected to the world.”
Since their partnership began in 2017, more than 22 million passengers have enjoyed the benefits of flying with both airlines. By combining their routes, Emirates and flydubai have built a strong schedule that gives passengers more choices and greater convenience. They also share a single loyalty program, which gives travelers many rewards and benefits.
When they started working together, they only flew to 29 cities. Today, their joint network reaches 240 cities in over 100 countries. Passengers also enjoy smooth experiences at the airport, from fast check-ins to quick baggage transfers, and easy connections at Dubai Airport through Terminal 3.
Each day, there are around 295 flights that are part of their codeshare agreement. This means travelers have more options and can choose from more departure times. flydubai alone operates more than 330 flights every week from Terminal 3 to places like Zanzibar, Kathmandu, Krabi, Riyadh, and Naples. Emirates passengers can now reach over 132 flydubai destinations, and flydubai customers can explore more than 142 Emirates destinations.
Both airlines continue to provide top-quality service. There has also been a 31% rise in people booking premium (business class) seats, which shows that travelers really enjoy the comfort and features offered by both airlines.
In the past year, Emirates started flying to new places like Bogota (Colombia) and Antananarivo (Madagascar). They will also start flights to Da Nang, Siem Reap, and Shenzhen this summer. flydubai also added 10 new destinations, including Antalya, Basel, and Al Alamein—popular summer spots.
Their shared loyalty program, Emirates Skywards, has more than 35 million members around the world. Members can earn and use their Miles on any Emirates or flydubai flight.
Travelers can book their tickets through the Emirates or flydubai websites, the Emirates App, retail stores, contact centers, or through travel agents.
