Emirates has emerged as the ‘World’s Best Airline’ among 90 global carriers, according to a recent in-depth study conducted by Telegraph Travel. This study employed a meticulous methodology that evaluated airlines based on over 30 criteria, including punctuality, baggage allowance, route network, quality of home airport, age of fleet, the value of rewards programs, and the quality of in-flight meals. The results were derived from data sourced from more than 18 independent awards, reader polls, ratings websites, and expert reviews.
The study describes Emirates as a “worthy winner,” stating that the airline “ticks nearly every box,” from baggage policies to punctuality. Notably, Emirates operates the largest fleet of double-decker Airbus A380s, which are favored by passengers for their spaciousness and legroom across all cabins, including economy. The article emphasizes that the premium economy service on Emirates’ A380s is regarded as the best in the industry, while the business class consistently impresses, offering a chauffeur service to and from the airport—a luxury that is becoming increasingly rare. The first-class experience is distinguished by the most extensive wine list available among airlines and even features onboard showers. Emirates boasts an expansive route network, connecting 140 cities in 77 countries, and was named the best long-haul carrier in the world by 30,000 readers of Telegraph Travel.

The independent methodology for this study assessed 90 airlines based on the number of annual passengers carried, awarding points for performance across various criteria such as reliability, connectivity, baggage rules, inflight experience, and safety, among others. Multiple sources were referenced, including rankings from Apex, Airline Ratings, Skytrax, and TrustPilot reviews. A full breakdown of the results is accessible through the study's report.

Emirates, known for its acclaimed inflight entertainment system, ice, offers a wide array of options, including over 6,500 channels of on-demand content available in more than 40 languages. Passengers can choose from over 4,000 hours of movies and TV shows, up to 3,500 hours of music and podcasts, and dedicated channels for children, along with exclusive content from platforms like Paramount+, HBO Max, and Discovery+.
The airline’s first and business class services are noted as industry benchmarks. First-class customers enjoy a seamless travel experience, including chauffeur service, access to over 34 premium lounges worldwide, and the ultimate comfort with private suites, dine-on-demand options featuring unlimited caviar, and luxurious amenities like hydrating skincare products. Business class offers exceptional cuisine, an extensive wine selection, and access to the A380 Onboard Lounge.
Emirates' premium economy class is equally impressive, featuring spacious leather seats, generous legroom, adjustable headrests, and in-flight amenities crafted for comfort. The airline is currently expanding its premium economy offering on 21 routes, including major destinations like London, Sydney, and Los Angeles.
Recognized for its family-friendly services, Emirates provides a host of amenities tailored for families traveling with children. This includes priority boarding, healthy in-flight meal options for kids, and extensive entertainment choices to keep younger passengers engaged throughout the flight. The airline also has provisions for unaccompanied minors and offers additional support for families with neurodivergent children.
Emirates operates without affiliation to any awards or polls and does not pay to enter or sponsor any of the accolades it receives. This commitment to maintaining integrity in the assessment process has solidified its reputation as a leading airline in the industry
