Egypt will hold an emergency Arab summit on 27 February to discuss what it called “serious” developments concerning the Palestinian cause, according to a statement from Egypt's foreign ministry on Sunday.

The decision to host the summit follows consultations with several Arab leaders, including representatives from the State of Palestine. Palestine had asked for this meeting, and Egypt agreed to organize it after careful discussions.
The meeting is being arranged in coordination with Bahrain, which currently holds the presidency of the Arab Summit, and with the help of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States.
This summit will provide a platform for leaders to come together and discuss the ongoing situation regarding Palestine and explore ways to address the serious challenges it faces.
