In the first half of 2024, Dubai Police marine rescue teams have responded to 10 maritime emergencies and managed 78 collisions involving watercraft, underscoring their commitment to maritime safety. Brigadier Dr. Hassan Suhail Al Suwaidi, Director of the Ports Police Station, reiterated the force's dedication to enhancing maritime security, focusing not only on rescue operations but also on ensuring beach safety.
During this period, the teams recorded a total of 272 maritime violations, highlighting the importance of adherence to regulations on the water. Brigadier Al Suwaidi noted that the specialized teams are equipped with advanced technologies, including high-speed boats and state-of-the-art GPS devices, which are essential for ensuring the safety of individuals at sea.
The personnel undergo regular training to stay updated on the latest rescue techniques and emergency response protocols, enabling them to act swiftly and efficiently in various maritime situations. Colonel Ali Abdullah Al Naqbi, Deputy Director of the Ports Police Station, emphasized the critical role these teams play in managing maritime emergencies, which include incidents involving boats and ships, as well as responding to natural disasters like storms.

Additionally, the Facilities Security Section conducted 12 field inspections and identified seven areas requiring attention from relevant authorities to enhance compliance with maritime laws and regulations. This proactive approach aims to mitigate risks and ensure the safety of all maritime activities within Dubai's waters
