Dubai Municipality has started a new edition of its summer training programme called ‘Future Talents’. This programme wants to help 200 students learn important skills for their future jobs. It is for students from universities, colleges, and high schools (Grades 11 and 12).
Why This Programme Is Important
The ‘Future Talents’ programme shows that Dubai Municipality cares about young Emirati students. They want to give students real learning experiences, not just classroom lessons. This will help students be ready to work in the future and support the country’s growth.

What the Officials Said
Abdulla Khalfan, who is the Acting Director of the Human Resources Department at Dubai Municipality, said that Future Talents is one of their main programmes to find and train young talented students. He explained that this programme helps students to:
Use what they learn in school in real life
Understand how jobs work in different departments
Learn skills needed for future jobs
Find better opportunities after finishing their studies
How the Programme Works
The programme lasts four weeks.
Students will train for eight hours each day.
They will work in different departments of Dubai Municipality, depending on what they are studying in school or college.
What Students Will Learn
In this programme, students will:
Combine their school learning with real work
Get a better idea of their subjects
See how different departments in the government work daily
Learn how to talk confidently, work in teams, and be on time
Build their professional skills for the future
Make new friends and connections that can help them in their careers
How This Programme Has Grown
Last year, only 60 students from universities and colleges took part in the Future Talents programme. They trained in 16 different departments. But this year in 2025, Dubai Municipality has increased the number to 200 students and included high school students for the first time.
This programme shows that Dubai Municipality wants students to become strong, skilled, and confident people who can help their country. By learning in real work environments, students will be more ready for jobs in the future. This training will not only help them understand their studies better but also teach them how to work with others, respect time, and build good habits for their future life.
