Dubai has introduced the Shared Digital Channels Initiative to make it easier for residents, tourists, and businesses to access government services. The initiative will offer services through seven integrated platforms, simplifying the process for people to get what they need without having to visit different websites or offices. These platforms will include Dubai Now for individuals, Invest in Dubai for businesses, Visit Dubai for tourists, and four more that cover areas such as transportation, justice, construction, and trade.
This step is part of Dubai’s vision to improve digital services, making them more accessible and user-friendly. His Excellency Abdulla Al Basti, Secretary General of Dubai’s Executive Council, emphasized that the new system shows the government’s dedication to delivering seamless services that are available 24/7. He explained that the aim is to put people at the center of the service experience, ensuring they can complete tasks quickly and easily from one platform.

His Excellency Mattar Al Tayer, head of Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority, highlighted the importance of digital channels as the main way for customers to access government services. He pointed out that the Shared Mobility Channel, a unified platform for all transport services in the city, will make it easy for people to access public transport, taxis, and other mobility services. Dubai’s transport services are widely used, with over 747 million riders in 2024 and more than 2.5 million registered vehicles.
Helal Al Marri, Director General of the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, said the initiative is a huge leap forward in integrating government services into everyday life. He noted that this transformation helps create opportunities for businesses and residents, positioning Dubai as a leader in innovation.
Hamad Al Mansoori, Director General of Digital Dubai, shared that the city is following a well-structured roadmap to develop these shared digital channels. The plan is to continue using emerging technologies to enhance the ease of living and boost the digital economy, all while improving services for people.
Marwan bin Ghalita, Acting Director of Dubai Municipality, said that shared digital channels help build a connected government that makes access to services smoother and more coordinated. Saif Al Suwaidi, Director General of Dubai Courts, also mentioned that this initiative will improve how people access legal services, adding an extra layer of ease to the city’s operations.
Sultan bin Sulayem, head of DP World, emphasized that this initiative will help boost Dubai’s economy by improving efficiency in trade and logistics, making it easier for businesses to operate. He added that Dubai’s goal is to increase its trade volume to AED 25.6 trillion over the next decade, further strengthening its position as a global logistics hub.
The initiative, approved by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, is a part of the city’s broader strategy to build a digital ecosystem that simplifies people’s lives while promoting the growth of businesses. The aim is to create a future where all services are accessible from a single platform, improving both efficiency and convenience.
This initiative will also focus on maintaining high standards of data security and privacy, ensuring that all platforms are fully integrated and work seamlessly together. Dubai aims to set a new global standard for digital service delivery, making the city more connected, efficient, and welcoming to everyone, whether they are residents, tourists, or business owners.
Ultimately, this new system is designed to offer a smoother, more efficient experience for everyone, saving time and effort, reducing waste, and driving the growth of Dubai’s digital economy while supporting its vision for a smarter future.
