Dubai’s push toward stronger sustainability standards gained fresh momentum as Dubai Chambers signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Ahya Technologies, marking a new phase in supporting companies across the emirate in meeting environmental, social, and governance (ESG) commitments.
The partnership focuses on enhancing the capabilities of businesses that have received the Dubai Chamber of Commerce ESG Label. Under the agreement, both sides will work together to help companies align their operations with the UAE’s Net Zero by 2050 Strategic Initiative and comply with the newly introduced Federal Decree-Law No. (11) of 2024 on Limiting the Effects of Climate Change.
According to details shared during the signing, the collaboration will introduce a range of value-added incentives designed exclusively for ESG Label companies. These include specialised support programmes, tailored resources, and sector-specific toolkits aimed at helping firms measure, manage, and reduce their emissions with greater accuracy.
The MoU also outlines plans for joint digital solutions that will assist companies in tracking sustainability performance. These tools are expected to generate aggregated insights, enabling businesses to continually improve and helping policymakers understand broader sustainability trends across various sectors.
In addition, the cooperation will extend to developing knowledge materials and practical guides to strengthen corporate ESG readiness. The focus remains on making sustainability not only a compliance requirement but also a driver of long-term competitiveness within Dubai’s fast-evolving business landscape.
The Dubai Chamber of Commerce ESG Label, created through the Centre for Responsible Business, continues to serve as a platform for recognising companies that demonstrate meaningful progress in responsible business practices. Since its establishment in 2004, the Centre has played a prominent role in shaping Dubai’s approach to corporate responsibility and continues to encourage companies to integrate sustainability into their strategies.
The new partnership with Ahya Technologies is expected to further accelerate this shift, supporting enterprises as they adapt to enhanced reporting requirements and contribute to the UAE’s nationwide climate goals.
