Dubai Chambers has announced a significant strategic partnership with the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), a globally renowned business organization that connects over 45 million companies across 170 countries. This collaborative initiative seeks to strengthen international trade support, focusing particularly on advancing digitalization and enhancing financial access for small and medium enterprises (SMEs). By combining resources and expertise, Dubai Chambers and ICC aim to bolster the role of chambers worldwide and bring greater value to the global business community.
A central feature of the partnership is the development of Dubai Chambers’ Chamber Benchmarking Tool, which will be adapted to serve the ICC and its extensive network of member chambers globally. This tool will support chambers in their efforts to enhance their operational impact, enabling them to contribute more effectively to the business sectors they represent. Through this initiative, Dubai Chambers will share its knowledge, resources, and expertise with chambers across the globe, promoting capacity-building and best practices.

The partnership underscores a mutual commitment to advancing several core areas of global trade. Both organizations will work together on trade digitalization, dispute resolution mechanisms, sustainability initiatives, climate action, and promoting a digital economy. Additionally, the collaboration will support multilateral efforts, helping to standardize trade practices through the ICC’s Digital Standards Initiative.
Highlighting Dubai's strategic importance as a global trade hub, the agreement reaffirms the emirate’s pivotal role in connecting international markets and global supply chains. This partnership also builds on Dubai Chambers’ ongoing efforts to strengthen chamber capacities globally. Notably, Dubai hosted the 12th World Chambers Congress in 2021, showcasing the emirate's proactive role in shaping future frameworks for global chambers, such as the Chamber Model Innovation (CMI) framework, which was designed to accelerate innovation within the chamber community.
H.E. Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, emphasized the importance of this partnership, stating, "Our alliance with the ICC aligns with our mission to empower businesses in the MENA region through innovative solutions, digital transformation, and increased financing options. Together, we are committed to creating sustainable economic growth and unlocking new opportunities for the global business ecosystem."
Echoing this sentiment, John W.H. Denton AO, Secretary General of the International Chamber of Commerce, remarked, “This agreement builds on a longstanding and successful relationship with Dubai Chambers. It strengthens our collaborative efforts to champion trade digitalization and empower chambers globally to drive economic growth and development.”
Dubai Chambers remains dedicated to supporting the expansion goals of companies within Dubai, attracting foreign investment, and reinforcing Dubai's reputation as a premier business and investment destination. In alignment with the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33), which aims to double the size of Dubai’s economy within the next decade, this partnership further positions the emirate as a leader on the global stage.
The agreement between Dubai Chambers and ICC sets a strong foundation for future collaborative projects, enabling both organizations to deliver innovative solutions and enhance the value that chambers bring to their respective sectors.
