Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has made a smart app to help fix problems faster and better. This app chooses the best workers and sends them quickly to the place where help is needed. It is made to make the system work well and keep everything running smoothly.
The app uses a special Internet of Things (IoT) system. This system helps teams reach the problem spot faster. The app also creates reports immediately. These reports show important details like which team went, what the problem was, and how they fixed it.
The head of DEWA, Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, said, “We want to make Dubai the smartest and happiest city in the world. We are using new digital tools and smart ideas to improve DEWA’s work and meet the highest world standards.”

He also said that the R&D Centre is very important for new ideas. “Our R&D Centre is a place where great ideas are born. It helps Dubai and the world by giving workers the best tools and labs to think of smart solutions for electricity and water problems.”
DEWA is one of the best in the world for doing its work in the right way. In 2023, they reduced electricity loss to just 2%, much lower than the 6%-7% seen in countries like the US and Europe. For water, they kept the loss at only 4.6%, while in North America, it is about 15%.
They also broke a record for keeping electricity reliable. DEWA made sure customers lost power for only 1.06 minutes in a whole year. This is much better than the 15 minutes reported by other top companies in Europe.
With this smart app, DEWA is showing it is always working hard to be the best. They want to keep getting better and help make Dubai a leader in smart, green, and happy living.
