Moyes shared his joy, saying, “I’m happy to return! I had 11 amazing years here, and when I got the chance to come back, I accepted right away. Everton is very special to me.”
Everton is having problems this season. They are in 16th place in the Premier League, just one point above the relegation zone. The team hasn’t won in their last five league games. Moyes will now work hard to keep Everton in the top league.
The club has new owners, which brings hope for a better future. Everton will also move to a new stadium later this year, ending their long history at Goodison Park.
The club leaders believe Moyes is the right choice. They said, “We are glad to have David back. He knows Everton very well and understands what the club needs. We trust him to guide us through this important time and into the new stadium.”
Moyes had great success during his first time at Everton. He led the team to the FA Cup final in 2009 and managed over 500 games. After leaving Everton, he worked at other clubs, including West Ham United, where he won the UEFA Conference League.
Moyes asked the fans for support, saying, “I’m excited to work with the new owners and rebuild Everton. This season is very important. We need the fans to cheer for the team so we can start fresh in the new stadium as a Premier League club.”
Everton hopes that with Moyes’ leadership, the team can overcome their struggles and create a brighter future.
