Chappell Roan Cuts Ties With Casey Wasserman’s Agency

Pop star Chappell Roan announced on Monday that she is no longer represented by the talent agency led by Casey Wasserman, the chief of the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics organizing committee.

The decision comes after criticism resurfaced over flirtatious email exchanges between Wasserman and Ghislaine Maxwell, a convicted sex trafficker and former associate of late financier Jeffrey Epstein. These emails date back to 2003 and were recently made public through new files released by the US Justice Department.

In an Instagram story, Roan confirmed her decision, stating, “As of today, I am no longer represented by Wasserman, the talent agency led by Casey Wasserman.”

She further explained that artists should be supported by representatives who reflect strong values and ensure safety and dignity. Roan said her move highlights the need for accountability and trustworthy leadership in the entertainment industry.

Casey Wasserman has apologized for communicating with Maxwell, saying the interaction occurred long before her crimes—and Epstein’s—were publicly known. He has firmly denied having any personal or business relationship with Jeffrey Epstein.

The talent agency did not issue an immediate response following Roan’s announcement.

Ghislaine Maxwell is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence after being convicted in 2021 on multiple charges, including trafficking a minor. She was arrested in 2020 for recruiting and grooming underage girls for Epstein between 1994 and 2004.
