The Milwaukee Bucks narrowly defeated the Toronto Raptors in a thrilling NBA matchup. The game saw the lead change 17 times through the first three quarters, with the score tied at 86-86 entering the fourth. Brandon Ingram led the Raptors with 29 points, while RJ Barrett added 20 and Immanuel Quickley contributed 19 points.
In the fourth quarter, the Bucks took control as Anthony finished an 8-0 run, giving Milwaukee a 103-99 lead. However, the Raptors responded, with Barrett’s inside shot tying the score at 105 with 5:45 left. Despite the Raptors’ fightback, Trent’s 3-pointer with 3:16 remaining finally gave Milwaukee a more secure four-point lead.
Anthony added a jumper with 2:23 left to push the Bucks’ lead to 115-110, followed by a layup at 1:09 left, making it 117-111. The Raptors narrowed the margin to 118-114 in the final minute, but Trent hit another 3-pointer from the corner to seal the Bucks’ victory.
The Bucks started strong with a 17-6 run in the first quarter, taking a 27-19 lead. Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 12 points on perfect shooting, making all four of his field-goal attempts. Toronto, however, capitalized on Antetokounmpo sitting out in the closing minutes of the first quarter and early second quarter.
The Raptors went on a 16-4 run, taking a 35-33 lead with 7:27 left in the first half. They extended the run to 23-6, moving ahead 42-35. Milwaukee struggled with 13 turnovers in the first half, their most since 2022, which allowed Toronto to gain momentum.
Despite Toronto’s lead, a Trent 3-pointer near halftime cut the Raptors’ advantage to 54-52, keeping the game competitive. Antetokounmpo contributed 16 points and nine rebounds in the first half, being the only Milwaukee player in double figures.
The game highlighted the competitiveness between the Bucks and Raptors, with several lead changes and standout performances. Key players like Brandon Ingram, RJ Barrett, Anthony, Trent, and Antetokounmpo influenced the high-scoring, closely fought contest. The Bucks’ resilience and clutch shooting in the final minutes proved decisive.
