Bigg Boss 19’s Weekend Ka Vaar episode was extra special as host Salman Khan welcomed former Indian women’s cricket stars Jhulan Goswami and Anjum Chopra. Their visit celebrated India’s first ICC Women’s World Cup win.
Tribute to the Women’s Cricket Team
In a video shared on Instagram, Salman Khan warmly greeted the cricket legends. He spoke about Smriti Mandhana and Harmanpreet Kaur promising Jhulan Goswami that they would win the World Cup. Jhulan said, “When they came to me with the trophy, it was the biggest moment of my cricket career.”
When asked about the impact of this victory, Anjum Chopra said, “It will inspire parents’ daughters to become the next Jhulan, Smriti, or Harman. This will motivate the next generation.”
Celebration and Social Media Buzz
Jhulan Goswami later shared photos from her Bigg Boss 19 visit on X, posing with Salman Khan and Anjum Chopra. She wrote, “This month has been full of unforgettable nights, and this was definitely one of them. Had a lovely time sharing the stage with Salman Khan and Anjum Chopra.”
Historic World Cup Win
On November 2, the Indian women’s cricket team, led by Harmanpreet Kaur, defeated South Africa by 52 runs. The team gave the trophy to cricket legends Jhulan Goswami, Anjum Chopra, and Mithali Raj to honor their contributions to women’s cricket.
The World Cup win has also sparked talks about releasing Jhulan Goswami’s biopic Chakda Xpress, starring Anushka Sharma, which was previously delayed due to disagreements between the production team and Netflix.
