Barsana streets to ignite with Holi festivities from Monday in Mathura.

On Sunday, the vibrant celebrations of Holi commenced in the Braj region, marking the official onset of this joyous occasion alongside the traditional observance of Holashtak. At the esteemed Shri Ladliji temple, devotees immersed themselves in the festivities, spreading colourful gulal and relishing specially prepared laddus. As the celebratory fervour envelops the area, anticipation mounts for the upcoming Lathmar Holi festivities set to unfold in the lively streets of Barsana on Monday.

The atmosphere at the Shri Ladliji Temple in Barsana also brimmed with exuberance as devotees engaged in spirited celebrations of Laddumar Holi. Participants from the Nandgaon and Barsana Goswami communities joined in communal singing, enhancing the festive ambiance with enchanting melodies. With vibrant hues and joyous spirits permeating the air, all eyes eagerly await the spectacle of Lathmar Holi slated for Monday.

Meanwhile, at the Dwarkadhish temple, Rajadhiraj and his queen added to the jubilance by personally sprinkling devotees with colours using a graceful silver sprinkler. This delightful ritual is scheduled to continue each morning until March 25th, allowing devotees to partake in the colourful spectacle during the Rajbhog darshan from 10 am to 11 am. The excitement further mounts for March 20th, when Thakurji is expected to join the Holi festivities while seated in Kunj, intensifying the anticipation and reverence surrounding the celebrations.

Additionally, the Radhavallabh Temple, steeped in nearly 400 years of tradition, is gearing up to commemorate its revered Holi celebration on Rangbharani Ekadashi, scheduled for March 20th. This significant event sees Priya-Priyatam, adorned with divine markings, embarking on a ceremonial journey from Rasmandal to Athakhambha. Seated gracefully in a carriage, the divine duo of Radha Krishna, accompanied by friends, will traverse the charming streets of the city, inviting denizens of Braj to partake in the forthcoming Holi festivities. Following this captivating procession, the temples of Vrindavan will come alive with vibrant Holi colours, fostering a sense of joy and camaraderie among devotees and revellers alike.
