Dubai Press Club Opens Nominations for 25th Arab Media Award

Dubai, 6 October 2025 – Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Dubai Press Club has officially opened nominations for the 25th edition of the Arab Media Award. This milestone edition marks the silver jubilee of the award, celebrating a quarter-century of recognising excellence in Arab journalism and visual media.

Since its inception in 1999, the Arab Media Award has grown into the most prestigious platform honouring Arab media talent. It is widely recognised for its integrity, transparency, and strict evaluation process that attracts thousands of entries annually from across the Arab world. The award is a benchmark for innovation, professionalism, and creativity in regional media.

Award Categories and Scope

The 25th edition of the award invites submissions in two main categories: the Arab Journalism Award and the Visual Media Award.

• Arab Journalism Award – Includes Political Journalism, Economic Journalism, Investigative Reporting, and Best Columnist. Each entry is evaluated under stringent professional criteria.

• Visual Media Award – Recognises achievements in Best Economic Programme, Best Social Programme, Best Cultural Programme, Best Documentary Project, and Best Sports Programme.

Additionally, the award includes a special category, Media Personality of the Year, recognising an outstanding Arab media figure whose work has significantly impacted the regional media landscape.
