His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, the Ruler of Sharjah, emphasized the importance of maintaining a comprehensive examination system for law students at the universities of Sharjah, Khorfakkan, Kalba, and Al Dhaid. In a recent telephone interview on the "Direct Line" program aired by Sharjah Broadcasting Authority, His Highness addressed suggestions from some law students at the University of Khorfakkan regarding a potential shift to a simpler "yes" or "no" answer format for examinations.
His Highness stated, “I want to respond and clarify to these students; we are responsible for the universities of Khorfakkan, Kalba, and Al Dhaid, and as for law students, their examinations cannot be set to a 'yes' or 'no' answer system. After graduation, the law student will practice in court and will be required to write petitions and complete reports. How can they do this without experience?” He stressed the need for law students to develop the necessary skills in expression and argumentation, essential for their future careers in the legal field.

In addition to discussing educational standards, His Highness also provided updates on infrastructure developments, particularly concerning Al Dhaid Lake and the traffic issues arising from truck passage through Al Dhaid City. He noted that the initial truck route begins at Al Dhaid Square near the TV Tower, causing disruptions along Martyr Sultan bin Mohammed bin Huwaidin Street. To alleviate traffic congestion, the Roads and Transport Authority is working on constructing a tunnel at the intersection. His Highness further stated that solutions are being explored to reroute trucks away from the Al Dhaid Bridge, which is intended for public enjoyment and leisure activities such as boat races and rowing.
Turning his attention to the Al Batayeh area, His Highness highlighted the inauguration of Al Rafia Park, described as the most beautiful park in the region, covering an impressive 30 square kilometers. He emphasized the government's commitment to providing a happy and safe living environment for residents, including the elderly and children. To that end, he mentioned ongoing efforts to enhance health insurance options for the community, despite the associated costs. While acknowledging the challenges of providing comprehensive health coverage for all residents, especially the elderly, he expressed optimism about achieving this goal in the near future.
His Highness concluded by stating, “We have not and will not be stingy with people; but we are taking the matter slowly. The youth, thank God, do not have diseases like the elderly, while health insurance does not accept the elderly. We received a proposal to provide comprehensive health insurance for all the residents of the Emirate of Sharjah. If we could do that, we would definitely do it. But a day will come soon, God willing, when we will reach this goal, thanks to the prayers of the people. We wish health and safety for everyone.”
