Famous businessman and kind-hearted donor, His Excellency Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, has given AED11.3 million to the Al Jalila Foundation. This foundation is part of Dubai Health and focuses on helping people. The money will pay for 4,000 dialysis treatments every year for sick people in the UAE. It will also fix and improve the kidney care unit, called the nephrology unit, at Dubai Hospital.
The new kidney care unit will be named after the late Mohammed Khalifa Al Suwaidi to remember his life of helping others and doing good. The money for this project comes from the late Mohammed Khalifa Al Suwaidi’s estate. His Excellency Khalaf Al Habtoor looks after this estate as per Mohammed Khalifa Al Suwaidi’s wishes. This estate is meant to support projects that help people and improve their lives. HE Al Habtoor has made sure the money is being used in the right way to improve healthcare and help those in need.

Talking about this good work, His Excellency Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor said, “We are happy to follow the values of kindness and giving that our elders taught us. Supporting the Al Jalila Foundation shows our promise to make healthcare better and to help kidney patients. It is a big honor that the new kidney care unit will have the name of the late Mohammed Khalifa Al Suwaidi. This remembers his care and love for helping others.”

Dr. Amer Sharif, the leader of Dubai Health, praised this donation and said it is a great example of helping others. He said, “We are very thankful for this generous gift from His Excellency Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, who is one of the country’s top leaders in helping others. This work shows how important it is for the community to come together to make healthcare better. It fits perfectly with our goal to improve healthcare for everyone. This donation will not only make care for patients better but also keep it strong for many years.”
Dr. Amer Al Zarooni, the head of Al Jalila Foundation, also shared how much this donation will help. He said, “The money from His Excellency Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor will help many kidney patients. Through our A’awen program, we will give free dialysis treatment to people who need it most. This is part of Dubai Health’s promise to always put patients first and ensure they get the best care possible.”
