ADNOC, AD Ports Group, Multi Level Group, and e& have formalized a collaboration agreement aimed at exploring the implementation of eVTOL (Electric Vertical Take-Off and Landing) transport logistics operations. This initiative is set to enhance operational efficiency while reducing both costs and carbon emissions associated with cargo transport.

The project is supported by the Smart and Autonomous Systems Council, Abu Dhabi Mobility, the Civil Aviation Authority, and the Cyber Security Council. These entities aim to bolster Abu Dhabi's standing as a premier global destination for transport and logistics across air, land, and sea.

Under the agreement, the collaborating organizations will investigate avenues for advancing sustainable mobility solutions and deploying cutting-edge technologies. They will also address the transportation and logistics needs of the petroleum services sector, which encompasses both terrestrial and maritime operations. The agreement emphasizes knowledge sharing, particularly in leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) to improve local services within these critical sectors while promoting sustainable energy practices.

Abu Dhabi Cruise Terminal, part of AD Ports Group, will work closely with these partners to provide logistical support. By utilizing its existing infrastructure, the terminal will ensure the necessary preparations are made to foster sustainability and advance technological development, aligning with the UAE's broader goals for technological transformation.

The operational activities will be managed through a series of subsidiaries under the Advanced Mobility Hub (AMH) of Multi Level Group. These subsidiaries include:

  • Wings Logistics: Focused on delivering drone services for both passenger and cargo transportation.
  • Space Falcon: Specializes in drone surveillance for critical missions such as firefighting and inspections.
  • Vertihub and Unified Aviation: Responsible for infrastructure operations, port audits, ground support, and operational services at airports.
  • Connected Vehicles for Charging Points: Provides smart charging services through connected vehicles.
  • Emirates Academy: Offers training and educational programs aimed at enhancing national expertise in UAV operations.

Furthermore, Multi Level Group’s Emrit Academy is playing a pivotal role in developing national capabilities. Through partnerships with the College of Technology and Higher Education, the academy trains UAE nationals in advanced technological skills, particularly in drone logistics, thereby creating more opportunities for Emirati students.

His Excellency Abdulla Mohammed Al Marzouqi, Director General of the Integrated Transport Centre (Abu Dhabi Mobility), remarked that the signing of this agreement is a significant milestone in promoting innovation within the air transport sector. By leveraging autonomous aircraft, the partnership seeks to deliver advanced logistics solutions. Al Marzouqi emphasized the commitment to improving operational efficiency and reducing carbon emissions, aligning with Abu Dhabi's vision of becoming a leader in innovation and advanced technology.

Dr. Mohammed Al Kuwaiti, Chairman of the UAE Government Cyber Security Council, highlighted that this strategic partnership enhances cybersecurity and protects digital infrastructure. It fosters collaboration to address escalating cyber threats while developing smart infrastructure on both national and regional levels. The partnership also aims to create unified international standards for the ethical and responsible use of AI in cybersecurity, strengthening the ability to tackle future challenges.

This collaboration follows a previous strategic partnership between Multi Level Technology Group and e& to equip the supply chain sector with necessary infrastructure and advanced communication services, particularly in fifth-generation (5G) private network technologies for UAV operations. The partnership seeks to leverage e&’s extensive experience in next-generation connectivity and promote joint investments to create operational systems, including control and command centers. It also explores the integration of innovative solutions such as artificial intelligence, with a vision to connect industries across the Middle East and Africa under a technological framework.

Through this multifaceted partnership, ADNOC, AD Ports Group, e&, and Multi Level Group aspire to provide sustainable and effective solutions that align with the UAE's vision for safe, affordable, accessible, and sustainable transport and logistics systems. The partnership will be implemented under the oversight of the Smart and Autonomous Systems Council, the Civil Aviation Authority, and the Cyber Security Council, ensuring compliance with the highest safety and security standards in line with international benchmarks.
