This global honour celebrates the marathon’s success in revolutionising spectator engagement and enhancing community participation, further strengthening its position as one of the world’s leading running events.

The ADNOC Abu Dhabi Marathon 2024 has become a global benchmark for sporting excellence and inclusivity. Organised by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council in collaboration with ADNOC, the marathon drew over 33,000 runners from across the world — including elite athletes, fitness enthusiasts, and families — competing in categories ranging from the full marathon to community fun runs.
