Abu Dhabi's Judicial Department (ADJD) has achieved substantial sales, exceeding Dh3.6 billion through its official auctions app, according to a report by WAM. Since its launch in June 2022, the app has transformed the sales landscape, covering a diverse range of assets including properties, cars, jewelry, and movable items. Real estate sales, constituting the majority at Dh3.4 billion, involved the auctioning of 333 properties. Additionally, the app facilitated the sale of 1,013 vehicles valued at Dh78.3 million, jewelry worth Dh232,720, and 1,784 movable properties totaling Dh129.4 million.
The ADJD Auction App, open to UAE citizens, residents, and interested foreign parties, offers a streamlined sign-up process using a phone number or UAE Pass. Payment transactions, including security deposits, can be conducted through various methods such as credit cards, bank transfers, cash, or cheques.
The app covers a wide array of categories, including shops, electronics, manufacturing, car plates, boats, and various vehicles listed with starting prices as low as Dh1,000. Office furniture and other items are also available for auction, with starting bids as low as Dh300.
Counselor Yousef Saeed Alabri, the Undersecretary of the Judicial Department, highlighted the revolutionary impact of the Auction App on the bidding process for seized properties in judicial cases. He emphasized that the app aligns with the vision of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Presidential Court, and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Judicial Department, aiming for a more accomplished justice system that enhances Abu Dhabi's global competitiveness.
Alabri elaborated on the user-friendly features of the Auction App, enabling easy sign-up and fund deposit for bidders inside and outside the UAE. The app provides access to detailed information about seized properties, innovative options for remote bidding, and a streamlined process in accordance with specified legal controls. The technological advancements introduced by the ADJD underscore its commitment to modernizing legal processes and contributing to a more efficient and competitive justice system.
