The program gives yacht owners a chance to apply for a 10-year UAE Golden Visa, which allows them to live in the UAE for a long time. This visa will help yacht owners enjoy the luxury lifestyle, world-class marinas, and investment chances in Abu Dhabi. It will also help yacht owners connect with businesses in the city.
His Excellency Saleh Mohamed Al Geziry, Director General for Tourism at DCT Abu Dhabi, said this new program shows how Abu Dhabi is working to grow its tourism and yachting industries. He said, "The Golden Quay to Abu Dhabi program is an important part of our efforts to grow tourism and the yachting sector. We are making it easier for yacht owners to enjoy our great marinas and the benefits of the 10-year Golden Visa, making Abu Dhabi an even better place for yachts."
Yas Marina and ADIO will choose which yacht owners and people in the yachting business are eligible for the program. The program is for yacht owners who have boats that are 40 meters or longer. It also includes important people in the yachting business, like company owners and yacht service providers. The families of the people chosen can also be included in the program.
DCT Abu Dhabi will help promote the program by sharing it with people in tourism markets. The department will also help visitors with special plans during their visits. DCT Abu Dhabi will work closely with its partners to make sure superyacht owners and investors enjoy the best of Abu Dhabi, including its luxury, culture, and world-class services.
His Excellency Hareb Al Mheiri, Executive Director of ADIO, said that the Golden Quay to Abu Dhabi program will also show rich people the great investment chances in Abu Dhabi. He said, "This program will connect yacht owners to the top marinas in Abu Dhabi and introduce them to the city’s business chances. It’s a good way to bring investors to Abu Dhabi and help the economy grow while promoting tourism."
Jonathan Brown, Chief Portfolio Officer at Miral, said, “The Golden Quay program will help make Abu Dhabi a leading yachting place. We are happy to work with DCT Abu Dhabi and ADIO on this. Yas Marina is a top marina with great services for superyachts, which will help make this program a success.”
This announcement comes after DCT Abu Dhabi attended the Monaco Yacht Show, where they promoted Abu Dhabi as a top winter destination for yachts. DCT Abu Dhabi showed how the city is planning to grow luxury tourism and connect with partners from around the world.
Through the Golden Quay to Abu Dhabi program, Abu Dhabi is working to become a top place for luxury tourism and yachting. It offers great chances for yacht owners and investors to experience everything the city has to offer.
