Abu Dhabi Hosts Global Social Care Forum 2025

Abu Dhabi has opened the second edition of the Social Care Forum, attended by Sheikh Khalifa bin Tahnoon bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Court. The forum, organized by the Department of Community Development in collaboration with Deloitte Middle East, is held under the theme Future Ready Social Care: People, Practice, and Policy.

The event brings together ministers, experts, and thought leaders from around the world, positioning Abu Dhabi as a global hub for dialogue and innovation in social care.

On the opening day, a high-level session featured His Excellency Dr Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili, Chairman of the Department of Community Development, and His Excellency Masagos Zulkifli, Minister for Social and Family Development of Singapore. They discussed the future of the social sector, international policy approaches, and government innovation.

Dr Al Khaili emphasized that the forum serves as a strategic platform to explore the future of social care, foster international partnerships, and support Abu Dhabi’s vision of an innovative, sustainable social sector. “The forum enhances quality of life while consolidating Abu Dhabi’s position as a global leader in social care,” he said.

The first day concluded with practical training workshops focusing on artificial intelligence in social care, trauma-informed case management, and child and family wellbeing. These sessions provided practitioners with tools to enhance their skills and improve service delivery.

By bringing together ministers, academics, and practitioners, the Social Care Forum underscores Abu Dhabi’s commitment to advancing inclusive and sustainable social care systems. The event continues over the coming days, featuring further discussions on policy development, international collaboration, and social innovation.
