The newly formed committee brings together representatives from several important organizations. These include the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Court, the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, the Department of Community Development, the Department of Municipalities and Transport, the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development, the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge, the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority, the Abu Dhabi Folklore and Theatre Society, and the Al Ain Folklore and Heritage Society. This collaboration will help create a strong foundation for preserving and promoting the emirate's rich cultural heritage.

The main role of the Abu Dhabi Folk Arts Committee is to develop a clear strategy to protect and promote traditional Emirati folk arts. Some of the well-known performances include Al-Yowla, Al-Harbia, Al-Razfa, and Al-Ayyala. These art forms reflect the history, identity, and values of the Emirati people. The committee will work to improve the quality of performances by training talented individuals and supporting the growth of folk arts in the community.

One of the committee's key tasks is to create educational programs that teach these traditional arts to younger generations. They will work on designing curricula that make learning folk arts easy and engaging. Additionally, the committee will set rules and guidelines for issuing permits, approvals, and licenses for groups and individuals who perform these art forms. By establishing clear standards for training, the committee aims to ensure that performances remain authentic and high-quality.

The committee will also oversee folk arts performances at official events and celebrations in partnership with other organizations. Their responsibilities include monitoring performances, setting evaluation standards, and running awareness campaigns to highlight the importance of folk arts in Emirati culture. Through workshops and community events, they hope to inspire more people to appreciate and participate in these traditional performances.

Moreover, the committee plans to encourage new talent by organizing training sessions and providing opportunities for performers to showcase their skills. They will also suggest new laws and regulations, if needed, to better protect and promote folk arts in Abu Dhabi.

The Abu Dhabi Folk Arts Committee is not just about preserving the past. It also seeks to build a vibrant future where folk arts continue to thrive. By fostering a love for these traditions among the youth and ensuring high-quality performances, the committee aims to keep the spirit of Emirati heritage alive for generations to come.
