A strong earthquake with a magnitude of 5.9 shook the Revillagigedo Islands area in Mexico, as reported by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC).

The earthquake happened about 402 kilometers southwest of Puerto Vallarta, a city on Mexico’s Pacific coast. It struck at a depth of around 10 kilometers beneath the Earth’s surface.
