Yas Marina Unveils Ultra-Advanced F1 Race Control Room

Yas Marina Circuit has completed a multi-million-dirham overhaul of its race control room ahead of the 2025 Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. The redesigned facility enhances decision-making speed, safety oversight, and comfort for 28 officials.

The upgrade features a digital infrastructure allowing instant access to 55 camera feeds, timing systems, race logs, and broadcast streams via tablet control, eliminating extra equipment and easing integration for visiting championships.

Improved ergonomics, dimmable LED lighting, and custom-built desks ensure focus and clarity during high-pressure operations. According to Stuart Latham, Yas Marina’s Safety and Operations Director, the facility exceeds FIA standards and ranks among the world’s most technologically advanced race control centres.

The new control room debuted during the Yas Racing Series (31 Oct–2 Nov) and will support the 2025/2026 motorsport season, including Formula 4 Middle East, Asian Le Mans Series, Lenovo Gulf 12 Hours, and the Autonomous Racing Series. The 2025 Abu Dhabi GP will take place from 5–7 December.
