A Mumbai-bound Vistara flight carrying 147 individuals made an emergency landing at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport on Wednesday morning after a bomb threat was reported. The aircraft, a Boeing 787, arrived from Frankfurt, Germany, and landed safely at approximately 7:45 AM.
The flight, designated UK 028, had taken off from Frankfurt on Tuesday at 8:20 PM local time. Upon landing, it was swiftly directed to an isolation bay to undergo mandatory security checks. Sources indicated that there were 134 passengers and 13 crew members aboard the flight at the time of the incident.

Vistara confirmed in a statement that the Frankfurt-Mumbai flight had received a security alert regarding a threat conveyed via social media. The airline promptly notified the relevant authorities about the situation. Following the aircraft’s safe landing, all passengers were disembarked as security protocols were initiated. Vistara stated that they are fully cooperating with security agencies to facilitate the required checks.
The incident raised concerns among travelers and airport staff, but Vistara assured that all safety measures were being followed and that the wellbeing of passengers remained the top priority. The thorough investigation into the security threat is ongoing as authorities work to ascertain the details surrounding the alert.
