Sheikh Mohammed also said that the Pope’s memory of being simple and bringing people of different faiths together will stay in the minds of many for a long time.

Pope Francis did something very special in 2019. He became the first Pope to visit the Arabian land. He came to the UAE and prayed with over 120,000 people in a big open-air prayer at Zayed Sports City stadium. It was a big moment of peace and friendship.

During his visit, he also met with Muslim leaders and joined a big meeting with more than 700 people from many different religions. This showed his deep care for friendship among different faiths. Pope Francis also signed a special paper with the Grand Imam of Al Azhar, Dr. Ahmad Al Tayyeb. This paper talked about living together in peace and loving each other, no matter the religion.

Pope Francis will be remembered by people from all over the world as a kind man who believed in peace and friendship.
